Ryan has been looking forward to spending th summer with his Dad, but shortly after his MOm drops him off, he learns that his Dad has taken a summer teaching position. In an unfamiliar town, and feeling left out by the other kids, he takes solace in the companionship of his dog, Jupiter. When Jupiter disappears, Ryan begins to lose hope, until he receives unexpected help from four new friends.
