In the beautiful northern Spanish town of Cantabro a group of seemingly unrelated people are drawn together by strange circumstances. A carpenter and a fisherman who stumble across a cache of smuggled drugs a young environmental products salesperson and the lawyer she becomes entwined with and a Spanish boy who pretends to be a Bosnian refugee--they will all find that their unusual circumstances have some unexpected effect on the outcome on other's lives. This offbeat drama was the winner of the Best Photography Award at Spain's 1998 Goya Awards
