This highly stylized German production of classic children's fairy tale features strong production values and extravagant costumes. Based on the classic Brothers Grimm tale it follows the adventures of poor hapless Jacob whose own timid nature has made him the butt of jokes for many years. Even the King has it in for him and he sends Jacob on a visit to the Devil hoping to be rid of him forever. The only way Jacob can guarantee his return is if he can pluck three golden hairs from the head of Satan himself!
