Karate master Sonny Chiba plays his own real life teacher Mas Oyama in this historical martial arts film. It is the story of Oyama's life from his humble beginning as a penniless hopeful at a karate tournament to his glory days of killing raging bulls with his bare hands for sport. Despite dressing in rags his fighting prowess inspired big businessman to train him for a professional career. The trauma of taking another man's life in a barroom brawl leads Oyama turn his back on martial arts entirely but later gives in to his natural impulse and plans to return.
