Diane Paloma Eskenazi's animated tale Atlantis features the princess of Atlantis trying to save her kingdom and family from the evil machinations of an associate named Belial. Belial learns from the beast Gryphos that anyone who controls the four living crystals can use them to take control over everything. During Belial's attempts to steal one of the crystals, the queen of Atlantis perishes. The princess must save the day with the help of a foreigner to Atlantis before the evildoer's plan is complete and her father meets the same fate as her mother
