Exotic dancer Tongolele's plans to marry a newspaperman are upsetting to the owner of the club in which she performs as he thinks he'll lose his star attraction. Meanwhile magician Cheng is in love with Tongolele and is even more distraught by her plans to marry. In a jealous rage he attempts to kill her but accidentally kills another chorus girl. A police investigation to find the true killer creates fear and suspicion within the nightclub.
