He prefers to slam dunk and perform other flashy moves but Takenori and Coach Anzai try to show him the necessity of the game's fundamentals. However even as Sakuragi is honing his skills the coach of the Judo team also sees great potential in him and tries to woo him away from the basketball team to the Judo squad.
