A writer is commissioned to do a book on the seedy world of prostitution. He immediately moves into a run-down hotel in Manhattan's Hell's kitchen. Gradually he gets to know the pimps and prostitutes in the neighborhood. The girl's sexual escapades on the streets, in back alleys and sleazy hotels excite and fascinate him.
